Ocean City Events
There's always something going on. Ocean City has two spectacular fireworks displays on the Fourth of July, fishing tournaments (including August’s White Marlin Open--the East Coast’s largest deep sea fishing tournament), the 10 and 5 K “Run Away from Home” in the fall, the four days of Springfest in May and Sunfest in September, spring and fall classic car “cruising” weekends, the Bavarian festival, the Greek festival, the Christmas Parade, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the Winterfest of Lights in November and December, are just a few of our wonderful events. Ocean City's fun and enchanting all year long.

Flag Day
Saturday, June, 14, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
The Town of Ocean City will observe Flag Day with a special ceremony on Saturday June 14, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Flag Plaza in beautifully Northside Park 127th Street & the Bay on the Flag Plaza. The Mayor of Ocean City will lead a brief program recognizing our veterans, the flag they served and, “The Pledge of Allegiance.” The Ocean City Police Department Color Guard will present the colors, as the national anthem is sung.
Art’s Alive
Saturday & Sunday, June 21 - 22, 2008
Visit Art’s Alive and discover that art is alive for the entire family in Ocean City. The show takes place at the beautiful Northside Park complex, located at 127th Street and the Bay. Take a leisurely stroll around the deep water lagoon, chat with artists, relax over lunch and listen to relaxing music in a tranquil park setting. Children’s workshops are offered on both days. Art’s Alive includes a juried fine art show with media categories including; Ceramics, Drawing, Fiber, Furniture, Glass, Printmaking, Jewelry, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Sculpture and Fine Wood.
4th of July
Jamboree in the Park
Jamboree in the Park includes live entertainment and action-packed activities fun for the whole family. Located at Northside Park, 125th Street and the Bay, Jamboree in the Park starts at 5:00 p.m. Family and children’s entertainment takes place on the fun field stage, and roaming children’s entertainment is throughout the park. Stroll along the south side of the fun field to enjoy arts & crafts vendors. Enjoy traditional festival fare, play a variety of carnival games, and a rock-climbing wall. Anywhere in the park is a good place to watch the magnificent fireworks display. Stake your claim to your viewing site on any of our fields.
Concert and Fireworks Downtown
Bring your blanket, stretch out on the beach and enjoy a patriotic concert beginning at 8:00 p.m. Fireworks shoot out over the ocean at 9:30 p.m.

Sundaes In The Park

Bring your family, a picnic basket and beach chairs to Northside Park at 127th Street and the Bay for your favorite dessert and live family entertainment. The lineup of entertainers this season will make you stand and cheer, however, the spotlight will be on you, creating your own ice cream sundae with delicious toppings. This event is from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Children’s entertainment is also presented each week. So create your own ice cream sundae for a small fee while listening to live music and watching the sun set over the beautiful bay.
Labor Day Weekend Concerts
Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 p.m., August 30 & 31, 2008
Treat yourself to a collection of summer beach music, watch the sun set, sit on the sand, view the sparkling blue ocean and dance by moonlight. There is no better setting for relaxing than at Concerts on the Beach. The intoxicating sounds will have your hands clapping and your toes tapping to the variety of entertainment from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. each Wednesday evening.
Sunfest '08
The nationally recognized festival will celebrate the end of Summer and the start of Fall. This Top 100 event attracts visitors from miles around. The four family fun days features concerts, great food, arts & crafts and more. Admission to the festival is free and includes hayrides, a treasure hunt on the beach, children's activities and more. Ride the bus to Sunfest - all day passes are $2. Or, ride the boardwalk tram which takes you direct to Sunfest '07.
Fly In
October 2008 at the Ocean City Municiapl airport. View more than 50 aircraft of all types on display. Enjoy educational presentations, parachute and aircraft demonstrations, food, music, and more. Admission is free.
Seaside 10
October is the time to "take your mark" for this 10 mile
run through Ocean City, the three mile boardwalk and beyond. The 5K fun run takes place entirely on the Boardwalk. Wheelchairs are welcome. Runners compete for first, second and third place plaques in many age categories. Both races include categories for younger runners and for those over 70 years of age. Whether you are in the middle of the pack or up front, you’ll find the Ocean City view is truly spectacular.Come dressed for Halloween and compete for special awards for best-costumed runners!
Halloween Spook-out Party

Winterfest of Lights
November 15 - January 1
Join the fun as the seaside resort transforms into a Winter Wonderland. With 1 million holiday lights sparkling throughout the town in animated displays, the Summer vacation town becomes a dreamy Holiday escape. Drive through the "Tunnel of Lights" and all the way to Northside park. Ride the Winterfest express through two miles of illuminated ornatments and sculptures which include magic genies, toy soldiers, the 12 days of Christmas, crabs, marlins and a host of other dancing lights. And don't forget to stop at the Winterfest Village for hot chocolate with Santa Claus!

Springfest 2008

Enjoy four fun-filled days offering fabulous local, regional and national entertainment, delicious crab cakes, barbecue and many more OC favorites, Plus, enjoy an exciting array of arts & crafts, and lots of family fun! All located in the Inlet Lot at the southern end of Ocean City’s famous Boardwalk. Admission to the four-day event is free! Sprinfest Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Take the Boardwalk tram directly to the Springfest grounds! Monday – Thursday $2.75 per person one-way. Friday - Sunday $3.00 per person one-way. Children under 42 inches are free. The tram runs from 10 a.m. to Midnight. You can also ride the bus to Springfest 2008. It cost only $2.00 to ride all day long!!!
